It all starts in the kitchen.
At apetito HFS we pride ourselves on making mealtimes better wherever you may be. That is why we put so much care in the development of our recipes. Each dish that you see has been expertly crafted by our amazingly skilled chefs with the help of our in house dietitian. Meet the chefs that work tirelesy to ensure that each bite you take is not only nutritious but delicious.
Chef Tim
During my first year in culinary school at George Brown college, I was fortunate to start work at Kultura Social Dining, which focused on fusion cuisine in a shared tapas format. I later started working at the Four Seasons Hotel in Toronto. Working across many different departments within the kitchen, I was able to hone and utilize the skills I learned to excel in each of my roles.
After graduating culinary school, I went on to internship with Oliver & Bonacini Restaurants, working at Auberge du Pommier and later joining the opening team for both Canteen and Luma located at the TIFF Lightbox. Shortly after, I enrolled into the Food and Nutrition post-graduate program at George Brown College. In the program, I was able to take my culinary skills and experience and apply it to an institutional and healthcare related setting which led me to my current role.
I have been with the apetito HFS for 9 years having been the lead developer creating many of the products in our range, to now managing the Product Development department, supporting the developers in their projects!
Chef Marc
In 1983 I opened a hotel in Ottawa, which included a restaurant, room service, banqueting and cafeteria services. It was an incredible experience, but I had a hunger to work authentically with international cuisine. To satisfy the craving, I joined the Four Seasons Hotels group in the late 80s and ended up travelling the world as Executive Chef for two decades. I journeyed to the West Indies to launch a brand-new Caribbean Four Seasons destination.
Four years later I returned to Canada, working in Vancouver for many years, before heading off to another tropical destination for foodies: Bali, Indonesia. Finally, I would spend my last 5 years with Four Seasons in Australia before returning to Canada for good in 2007.
I am thrilled to have spent the last 4 years with apetito HFS and look forward to many more!
